Sustainable Summer is an environmental leadership program for high school students. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of environmental leaders through transformative summer experiences. Sustainable Summer programs are designed according to three guiding principles: sustainability immersion, global citizenship, and challenge-based learning. We facilitate first-hand examination of both sustainable and unsustainable practices using a field studies approach, but root this practical exploration of sustainability within theoretical discussions of the broader economic, political, and ecological contexts.
