Farther Foundation is pleased to welcome Ed Cruickshank to our Board of Directors. Ed’s financial and management acumen will be an asset to the governance and functioning of our organization. Perhaps more importantly, his passion for our mission and dedication to service will help Farther Foundation continue to provide life-changing experiences for deserving students.

Ed’s love of travel started at an early age. His parents were educators which allowed for many summertime cross-country camping trips to visit family. His first trip abroad came via his high school jazz band’s invitation to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival, initiating a passion for global travel and the experiences it provides.

Ed was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Chicago in 2004. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the University of Kansas, and received his Certified Financial Planner® designation through Northwestern University. He has been with Savant Wealth Management since 2004 where he is an owner and Fiduciary Senior Wealth Manager, serving families, institutions and endowments. He is also involved with The Night Ministry/The Crib supporting at risk youth and serves on the Board of Trustees at his church. Ed lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife and their daughter. He enjoys golf, swimming, and traveling.
